Scott Voss

Scott joined HarbourVest Partners in 1999 and is a Managing Director, also serving in the firm’s newly established role of Senior Market Strategist. In this dual capacity, he focuses on synthesizing insights from across the private markets ecosystem—including LPs, GPs, service providers, and other stakeholders—and communicating those perspectives back to the market. His responsibilities include direct client engagement, public speaking, market analysis, investor education, and thought leadership. Scott previously served two consecutive terms as Chair of the Global Primary Investment Committee and now concentrates fully on venture capital, the asset class where his passion for the industry began. He brings more than 25 years of leadership experience across the U.S. and APAC.

His prior experience includes managing international sales and distribution for Cannondale Corporation, a leading global manufacturer of bicycles and cycling accessories. In this role, Scott oversaw the firm’s wholly owned APAC subsidiaries and led a broad network of independent distributors throughout the region.

Scott graduated from Bryant College with a BS in Marketing, cum laude, and from Babson College with an MBA, cum laude.
