Appointments strengthen HarbourVest's institutional, family office, and private wealth capabilities amid growing regional demand
ABU DHABI, September 22, 2026 - HarbourVest Partners, a global private markets investment specialist with over $160 billion in assets under management, today announced the appointments of Bobin Thomas as Principal, Institutional and Family Office Coverage, and Anis Tazi as Private Wealth Lead for the Middle East. Both will be based in Abu Dhabi, further strengthening HarbourVest's regional presence and reinforcing its commitment to serving investors across the Gulf.
The appointments mark another milestone in HarbourVest's continued growth in the Middle East following the establishment of its Abu Dhabi office and the appointment of Reda Zebdi as Head of Middle East in 2025. The firm has worked with investors across the region for more than four decades and continues to deepen its local presence to meet growing demand for private markets solutions from institutional investors, family offices, private banks, and wealth management partners.
Bobin Thomas will work with institutional investors and family offices across the Gulf region. He joins HarbourVest with more than a decade of experience serving regional investors, most recently at BlackRock, where he held senior client-facing roles focused on institutional clients across the Middle East. Prior to BlackRock, he held positions at Greenstone Equity Partners and Samena Capital, working closely with institutional investors and family offices throughout the GCC.
Anis Tazi joins HarbourVest to lead the firm's private wealth efforts in the Middle East. He brings extensive experience working with wealth managers, private banks, multi-family offices, and high-net-worth investors. Most recently, he was responsible for delivering public and private markets solutions to investors across the GCC at Candriam. Prior to this, he held roles at M&G Investments, J.P. Morgan Asset Management, and HSBC.
