Alicia Novak joined HarbourVest in 2020 and focuses on all aspects of the Firm’s global regulatory and compliance functions. Alicia has over 15 years of experience in senior roles focused on regulatory and financial crimes compliance and complex litigation.
Prior to joining HarbourVest, Alicia was Vice President of Compliance and Risk at F-Prime Capital Partners, Fidelity Investments’ venture capital group, specializing in seed and early stage investments in life sciences, healthcare and technology companies. Alicia has also held a number of leadership roles addressing regulatory risk and financial crime prevention, and was Director of Global Sanctions and Anti-Corruption at Fidelity, and Head of Global Sanctions Advisory at Brown Brothers Harriman. She was previously a litigation attorney at Nutter, McClennen & Fish LLP in Boston.
Alicia received a J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 2005. She received her B.A., with honors, from Johns Hopkins University in 2002.
